BIEBERMANIA: If you can’t stand the sight and sound of young girls going bonkers over Bieber, stay away from the new home video release of his documentary “Never Say Never”. If you’re at all intrigued by what it took to achieve JB’s iconic level of success, this film is just the ticket and quite a fun ride.

For starters, copious home videos (thanks, Mom) chronicle J.B.’s confidence and prowess on drums, guitar and vocals from single-digit age. Then there’s the whole YouTube phenomenon, how his self-posted video performances kick-started Biebermania. (Bieber’s top-viewed “Baby” is closing in on 543 million hits.)

And all that groundwork he laid playing radio and school gigs.

While there isn’t a 3-D version for home consumption, the high-definition Blu-ray treatment still carries quite the visual and sonic wallop, especially with performances at Madison Square Garden wherein our boy plays nicely with special guests Boyz II Men, Miley Cyrus, Jaden Smith, mentor Usher and “Baby” collaborator Ludacris. And fan alert: Home video bonuses include JB’s famous haircut.

Donny Osmond reportedly gave Justin Bieber advice for having fame at such a young age. Donny is no stranger, he was also very famous at a young age he gave this advice to Justin:

“Put the seat belt on, buddy, because it’s going to be a bumpy ride.”

“That kind of success at that age can really bite you in the shorts as it were — the proverbial shorts so to speak,”

“I look at the experiences that I’ve gone through as a teeny bopper. You know … I look at Justin Bieber … and my heart breaks for him, because I know what he’s going to go through. He knows. Everybody knows.”

Britney and Justin came out with their first albums as a teens and both are both wildly successful — but do you think Justin is just like Britney?

Is Justin Bieber a Britney Spears‘ mini-me? Britney seems to think so. ”I just saw his movie (Never Say Never, and I really didn’t realize how big he was,” Britney, 29, tells Harper’s Baazer. ”He’s enormous; he’s just Mr. Man. A lot of the movie is really similar to what I did when I was starting out.”

Just like Britney,  Justin, 17, has been touring around the world non-stop. “I did a promo tour for a year, going into radio stations and all that,” remembers Britney.

Britney and Justin both share an interesting sense of humor — Justin loves to prank other people, while Britney loves to laugh at others’ misfortunes. ”Usually when people trip or fall or run into something,” says Britney. “Not to be mean, but I can’t help it. If they really hurt themselves, then I feel bad, but if they accidentally do it and they stand up and act cool like nobody saw them, I have to laugh.”

Britney’s delighted that Justin relates so closely to her. “I think he’s adorable,” she admits. “It was so cool to see our similarities.”
